Several years ago, a young Englishman named Stephen packed his bags and moved to Italy to pursue his dream of becoming an underwear model.
With his blond hair and pale skin, he was immediately in demand as a portrait and life model for artists and found himself posing at art schools across Tuscany.
But fashion shoots were hard to find.
With his earnings all spent on spaghetti and limoncello, Stephen was eventually forced to return to London to train as an accountant.
However, you can’t keep a free spirit buttoned up in a shirt and tie for long, and Stephen soon had a brilliant idea; why not design and model his own range of underwear?!
A firm believer that the first item of clothing you put on in the morning sets the tone for the whole day, he decided that his new range would be full of colour and originality – with no boring checks or stripes in sight.
He didn’t have to look far for inspiration. Stephen's brother Peter is a photographer who works with water, ink and paint to create vibrant, multi-coloured compositions. Several of his photos hang on the walls of Stephen’s flat.
Late one night, whilst designing his first collection, Stephen looked up at them and had another brilliant idea...
